During the session, the settlement of the revenue and expenditure budget, the balance sheet for the 2021 fiscal year, and the audit report of the annual accounts were approved. The delegates also approved the project for the renovation and change of use of the second floor of the COMT headquarters in Reus.
The Dr. Santiago Mallafré room hosted another Assembly of Delegates in a virtual format. The first item on the agenda, the reading and approval of the minutes from the previous session, was approved unanimously, and the meeting proceeded to the second item: the president's report. The president of the COMT, Dr. Sergi Boada, gave a report detailing all the activities carried out during this period, and afterwards, the project for the renovation and change of use of the second floor of the COMT headquarters in Reus was presented.
This item was presented by the Second Vice-President, Dr. Mireia Garcia-Villarrubia. Dr. Garcia-Villarrubia gave a historical overview of the building and presented the project, which includes the renovation of the ground floor and the creation, on the upper floor, of a space called COMT Living, which will have five bedrooms as well as various spaces such as bathrooms and a dining area designed for medical students or residents. The delegates approved the renovation, including the change of use of the second floor, in accordance with the presented proposal, by 45 votes in favor, 16 against, and 9 abstentions.
The third item on the agenda concerned the presentation and approval of the budget settlement for income and expenditure, the balance sheet for the 2021 fiscal year, and the audit report of the annual accounts. Cori Ribas, head of the finance department, presented this item, and once she had finished, Ms. Marta Pons, auditor from ETL & AOB Auditores, gave the floor and presented the COMT audit report without incident. The item was approved by 70 votes in favor, none against, and no abstentions.
The secretary's report was the last item on the agenda at the Assembly. The secretary of the COMT, Dr. Manuel Carasol, presented his report, which highlighted the figures obtained regarding the professional association's activities, the data related to the PAIMM program, and the information presented on legal advice, explaining the entire procedure for a Confidential Report (IR).
