With the aim of further improving citizen services for resolving procedures and obtaining information from the various municipal departments, the Chiclana City Council will launch the Virtual Citizen Service Office this coming Monday. Through this platform, anyone can hold a virtual meeting with municipal staff. Initially, this virtual office will operate for the Revenue and Urban Planning departments, and will later be expanded to other municipal areas.
This was announced by the municipal delegate for the Presidency, Cándida Verdier, who appeared at a press conference alongside the Head of Service of the SOC (Organization and Quality Service), José Antonio Domínguez, who indicated that “this project is being launched under the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI), 'Chiclana, committed to sustainable development', within the Spanish Multiregional Operational Programme ERDF 2014-2020. Thus, it forms part of the Digitalization and Smart City Master Plan, approved in April 2021.‘.
“This new channel has many of the qualities of in-person service and just as many qualities of remote service,” commented Verdier, who explained that, “through a videoconference, City Hall staff will serve citizens with the advantages of technological security; legal binding force, like current in-person services; convenience for citizens by not having to travel; cost savings by reducing travel expenses; practicality, since documents can be exchanged before and during the service; as well as being human and flexible, like current face-to-face service.”.
And the current procedures available in Urban Planning are Urban Discipline (consultation of files and general consultation); Urban Planning Licenses (consultation with technical staff on Major Works license, Activity license; Minor Works and Responsible Declaration for the execution of works; as well as general information and consultation of files); and Planning and management (general information, information or consultation with the Civil Engineer, information or consultation with architect, as well as information or consultation with legal technician.
Finally, please note that to request an appointment at the Virtual Citizen Service Office, initially with the Urban Planning or Revenue departments, interested parties should send an email to: ovac-urbanismo(c)chiclana|es , as well as ovac-ibi(c)chiclana|es, including full name, contact phone number, desired procedure, preferred date and time, and a description of the action you need to take.
At Kawaru Consulting, we are very pleased to help bring the Chiclana City Council closer to its citizens, enabling them to carry out administrative procedures without needing to travel and with legal validity.
