On Wednesday, May 31st, the Official College of Veterinarians of Barcelona (COVB) The association held its Ordinary General Assembly of members in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation. This innovative approach allowed for greater accessibility and participation of members, adapting to the current circumstances and leveraging technology to achieve greater inclusion.
One of the key tools used to facilitate the hybrid format of the day was Councilbox. This digital collaboration platform provides a comprehensive meeting management solution, enabling real-time participation for both those physically present at the Assembly and those joining remotely. Thanks to Councilbox, members were able to submit their contributions, ask questions, and participate in discussions, regardless of their location.
The use of Councilbox at the Ordinary General Meeting offered numerous benefits. For one, it allowed for greater flexibility for participants, who had the option of attending in person or joining virtually from anywhere with an internet connection. This proved particularly beneficial for members who were far away or unable to attend in person due to personal or professional commitments.
Furthermore, Councilbox provided a secure and reliable platform for sharing and discussing agenda items. Members were able to access relevant documents, such as the minutes of the previous Ordinary General Assembly, the activity and financial management report, and the COVB's 2022 budget settlement. This facilitated prior review of the information, enabling a more informed discussion during the Assembly.
In line with the COVB's commitment to transparency and accountability, the college's accounts were audited by an external auditing firm, and the results were presented during the Ordinary General Assembly. This innovative approach allowed for greater accessibility and participation of members, adapting to current circumstances and guaranteeing the integrity of the COVB's financial records, thus providing members with peace of mind regarding the proper management of the college's resources.
