Digitalization without exclusions on the T-mobilitat website with Kawaru technology

Digital accessibility is now a reality on the T-mobilitat portal. Through the strategic implementation of our solution, ATM is reinforcing its commitment to universal access to public transport.

In today's environment, access to public services must be as universal as the service itself. Based on this premise, Kawaru Consulting has worked alongside the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM) to integrate our accessibility widget into the website of the T-mobilitat, the most important transport management system in the region.

The Challenge: A portal for 5 million users

With a massive and diverse user base, the T-mobilitat website needed a tool that would allow it to break down digital barriers immediately and efficiently, without having to redesign the entire web infrastructure from scratch.

The Solution: Kawaru's Accessibility Widget

Our technology integrates seamlessly into the existing interface, offering a layer of intelligent customization. Starting today, any user accessing the portal can activate the accessibility panel to:

  1. Navigating without motor barriers: Full compatibility with keyboard navigation systems.

  2. Intelligent visual adaptation: High contrast, monochrome, and link highlighting modes for people with low vision.

  3. Cognitive understanding: Tools to aid reading and stop animations to avoid distractions or health risks (photosensitive epilepsy).

Results with social impact

The implementation of this solution not only ensures compliance with the European web accessibility directive, but also positions the ATM at the forefront of Smart Cities inclusive. For Kawaru Consulting, This project is proof that cutting-edge technology and social empathy can (and should) go hand in hand.

«"Our goal is for the technology to be invisible to those who don't need it, but fully adaptable for those who do. T-mobilitat is now a more democratic tool."» — Kawaru Projects Team.
