This week we traveled to Palma de Mallorca to participate in the Innovation Day organized by Telefónica.
The Mallorca Chamber of Commerce hosts a conference on innovative technological solutions organized by Telefónica
The President of the Government, Francina Armengol, inaugurated this Thursday the Telefónica Innovation Day, a demonstration day of technological solutions developed by Telefónica that is being held at the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca.
The event is designed as a forum where companies and institutions can learn firsthand about the innovative products and services that Telefónica offers, such as support for urban mobility management or the 112 5G emergency service.
Armengol stressed that after the "extremely difficult experience" of the pandemic crisis, the need for companies and administrations to adapt to digitalization as quickly as possible has become clear, in order to become "more productive, more efficient and more transparent".
The president also highlighted the impact of digitalization in the context of the climate emergency, as it means a reduction in travel and therefore in emissions and carbon footprint.
With the assistance of representatives from the different Public Administrations of the island, we have been able to present our proposal and thus begin the first projects in the Balearic Islands shortly.
