IAton 2027 opens the call to give visibility to AI that is already in production

Artificial intelligence has moved beyond experimental technology and become a reality in many public administrations. Today, it helps improve citizen services, automate internal processes, strengthen cybersecurity, and optimize service management. However, it remains difficult to find spaces where those leading these initiatives can openly share what they have done, what results they have achieved, and what challenges they have encountered along the way.

With this objective, it was born IAton 2027, a day focused exclusively on the exchange of knowledge between public sector professionals and on the dissemination of real cases of application of artificial intelligence.

An event built on real experiences

IAton is not a trade conference or a technology fair. It is a learning space where the protagonists will be the administrations that are already using AI to solve specific problems.

The organization has launched a call for proposals to select nine projects that will be presented during the event. The initiatives can fall within areas such as cybersecurity, public safety and emergency response, urban management, citizen engagement, process automation, or ICT infrastructure.

Each experience will be explained by the teams responsible for its implementation, sharing both the results obtained and the lessons learned during the process.

Learn from the challenges too

The event will be held on January 27, 2027 in the Former Estrella Damm Factory in Barcelona and will bring together professionals from different administrations to reflect on the real impact of artificial intelligence in the public sector.

In addition to project presentations, the program will include a round table discussion on artificial intelligence and education, working sessions between attendees and speakers, and a space specifically dedicated to analyzing those initiatives that did not achieve the expected results.

The goal is to generate honest and useful conversations, sharing both the successes and the difficulties that accompany any innovation process.

A committee made up of industry leaders

The selection of projects will be carried out by a committee of experts made up of professionals with extensive experience in digital transformation and public administration: Dani Marco, Josep Miquel Salgado, Miquel Estapé, Andreu Francisco, Laura Sunyol y Marga Bonmatí.

Kawaru Consulting will act as the technical secretariat for the process, coordinating the call for proposals and the development of the event.

Call for applications and registration open

Participation in IAton is aimed at public sector professionals interested in learning about real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Attendance is free and limited to 100 participants, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis after their corporate email address has been validated.

Entities that already have AI projects in production can also submit their applications to be part of the program.

The call for applications will remain open until December 1, 2026, while the final program will be announced on December 17.
