The Valencian Government has contracted the Virtual Citizen Service Office on an emergency basis to help those affected by the DANA storm.
The extraordinary plenary session of the Consell this Wednesday has taken note of the emergency declaration of the contracting file of the Virtual Citizen Service Office (OVAC) tool of Telefónica-Councilbox as a result of the DANA storm of October 29.
This tool will be launched "immediately" to allow, through video calls, direct communication with those affected by the storm without the need for travel, since transport infrastructure is compromised and many people cannot travel to receive help or information, as announced by the vice-president spokesperson., Susana Camarero, in his appearance after the plenary session.
The objective is to provide a technological solution that allows affected citizens to be served quickly and without mobility restrictions, to provide personalized support in real time that facilitates the management and resolution of queries related to aid and damages suffered, and to guarantee efficient and continuous access to the administration for people in vulnerable situations.
Specifically, it consists of the supply of 25 licenses for the videoconferencing platform and the supply of ten packages of 5,000 signatures that allow electronic signatures "with full legal validity" for citizens who do not have their own electronic certificate.
This is a "secure and private" platform that will be operational for six months and is in addition to the 20 post-emergency coordination offices already set up in the devastated municipalities.
We are very happy to be able to participate in this project and to do our bit to help those affected by this terrible disaster.
